Miami Open 2027: Getting To and From Hard Rock Stadium

The Miami Open runs 14-28 March 2027 at Hard Rock Stadium. Journey times, why leaving is harder than arriving, and how to book.

The Miami Open runs 14–28 March 2027 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. Two full weeks of tennis, roughly 20 miles from Miami Beach, at a venue built for football crowds arriving all at once rather than tennis crowds trickling in across a twelve-hour session.

That combination — long sessions, a distant venue and a stadium designed for a different traffic pattern — is what makes getting to and from the Miami Open worth planning properly.

The dates and the distance

  • Tournament: 14–28 March 2027 (dates subject to change)
  • Venue: Hard Rock Stadium, 347 Don Shula Drive, Miami Gardens
  • From Miami Beach: allow 35–50 minutes, considerably more on finals weekend
  • From Brickell or Downtown: roughly 30–40 minutes

Those are not rush-hour figures. They are Miami Open figures, which is a different thing.

Why the journey home is the hard part

Getting to Hard Rock Stadium is straightforward: you leave when you choose. Leaving is not. Sessions end when the tennis ends, several thousand people walk out together, and the stadium sits in a low-density area with limited road capacity and very little rideshare supply waiting nearby.

Night sessions are the worst case. A match that goes to a third set finishes late, surge pricing is at its peak, and drivers decline the trip rather than sit in the exit queue. A pre-booked chauffeur is already there, in a spot agreed in advance, and waits as long as it takes.

The Key Biscayne effect

The tournament moved from Key Biscayne to Hard Rock Stadium in 2019, but the association persists and traffic patterns still shift on the Rickenbacker Causeway during Miami Open fortnight. If you are staying on Key Biscayne, remember the causeway is the only route on and off the island — one way in, one way out. Our neighbourhoods guide covers that in more detail.

How to book it

For a single session, a return transfer works: dropped at the gate, collected from an agreed point when you are ready. For a full day at the grounds, or for corporate hospitality where the schedule is loose, hourly charter is the better structure — the vehicle stays, and there is no second booking to make when a match overruns.

Corporate boxes and client hospitality are common at the Miami Open, and that is handled through our corporate car service, including collecting clients you are not travelling with yourself.

Common questions

When is the Miami Open 2027?

14 to 28 March 2027 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. The tournament runs both ATP and WTA draws across the fortnight. Dates are published by the tournament as subject to change, so confirm before booking travel.

How long does it take to get there from Miami Beach?

Allow 35 to 50 minutes for a normal session, and more for the closing weekend. We plan the departure from your session time rather than from a fixed average.

Where will the car collect me after the match?

At a point agreed before the day, deliberately outside the main exit flow. You get the location and the chauffeur’s number by text, so you are not searching for a vehicle in a crowd.

What happens if the match runs long?

The chauffeur waits. On an hourly booking the extra time is billed at the same rate with no late-night multiplier; on a transfer, we track the session rather than a fixed pickup time.

Can you carry a group?

Up to six passengers in an SUV. For a larger party we arrange a Sprinter or additional vehicles through vetted partner operators — see our fleet.
